Pardeice
and David McGoy, the principals of PM Consulting, have over 30 years combined
experience in the areas of education, youth development and non-profit
management, with specialization in organizational capacity building,
professional development, program development and fundraising. |

Pardeice has been recognized locally and nationally for
her youth development training and work with older youth. After six years as
a pre-school and kindergarten teacher, she directed a vocational/leadership
program for unemployed, out-of-school youth that received the National Youth Employment Coalition’s 1997
Promising and Effective Practices Network (PEPNet) Award in recognition
of outstanding youth vocational programs. At the Fund
for the City of New York Youth Development Institute, she
directed the Young Adult Capacity Initiative, which provided technical
assistance to 12 of the city’s emerging community-based organizations and provided
training for a number of major initiatives, including: New Visions for Public
Schools, New Century High Schools, DYCD Beacon Program, NYC Department of
Education Parent Coordinator Training and the Workforce Investment Act. She is
currently the Director of Regional Training for the ACT for Youth Center of Excellence and Director of School-Based Training at Ramapo for Children.
Pardeice has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a
Master’s Degree in Education from Brooklyn College. David is a writer, editor and entrepreneur with over 15
years of youth development experience. He has played an integral role in the startup
and operation of several successful entrepreneurial and grass roots community
service projects. As a founding Board Member of Power Moves, Inc. he helped
guide the agency through ten years of community service activities and coordinated
youth programs around college readiness, literacy and sports. He has coached
youth basketball for 15 years and is currently developing a curriculum that
infuses basketball with literacy and leadership development. David has worked
with successful youth serving projects at the Medical and Health Research Association of NYC, Inc., Brooklyn
College and Project Reach Youth, Inc. He is
currently the Development Manager at the Partnership
for After School Education, where maintains a grants
calendar of 50 foundations and government agencies and manages the Opportunities
for All Initiative, which works with 30 small and mid-sized nonprofits to build
their capacity to pursue government funding. Also a published fiction writer,
poet and journalist, David has held editorships at two award-winning
newspapers. He attended Howard University and is currently pursuing a writing
degree in the CUNY Baccalaureate Program. |
